To test how Pennsylvania’s new wine-selling system works, I checked the price of a 1.5-liter bottle of inexpensive red wine, CK Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon, at three locations.
LCB state store, Stefko Boulevard, Bethlehem: $10.99.
Beer/wine store inside Valley Farm Market on Stefko Boulevard, $15.89. Other prices here looked good, but this check is limited to CK Mondavi.
Beer/wine store inside the Giant grocery store in the Linden Square shopping center off Linden Street in Bethlehem Township: $10.99.
The vintage was 2016, not that it matters a lot in this case. Table red, or some may call it industrial red, but it’s cheap and available.
So, on routine checks, look for the price of things you buy regularly and bargains can be had.
