Creditsafe USA said today it is now the world leader in providing business-credit information with its recent expansion including data from Algeria, Iran, Iraq, Tunisia and Libya.
The Allentown-based unit of Creditsafe Group said the company now has 320 million business records in its database, 20 million more than its largest competitor, which it did not identify.
“We’re confident we now have the largest database of business credit information in the world,” said Matthew Debbage, Chief Executive Officer of Creditsafe Asia and Americas, in a statement distributed by PRNewswire.
The Creditsafe Group said in the statement that 10 of its business-information reports are downloaded every 10 seconds. Creditsafe said its customers can monitor the financial stress on customers and vendors around the world as global events unfold.
Creditsafe was founded in Oslo in 1997.
