Lafayette College’s men’s basketball team has won four straight for the first time in four seasons, and will go for a fifth consecutive win against American University at home on Wednesday night.
The Leopards’ wins came over Boston University, Holy Cross, Navy (the first win over the Midshipmen after nine losses) and Loyola (Maryland).
Lafayette is now 9-16, but 8-16 in Division 1. To reach 10 D1 wins in the regular season, the Leopards need to win two of the last four: American, at Bucknell, home versus Boston and home versus Colgate.
Lafayette is tied for sixth in the 10-team Patriot League at 6-8. Three of its final four opponents are ranked higher, while Boston (5-10) is at the bottom of the league.
The home game versus American starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20.
