The Presser Foundation has awarded grants to the Bach Choir of Bethlehem and the Allentown Symphony Association for the “advancement of music.”
The Philadelphia-based foundation announced 69 grants totaling $684,000 on March 1. The exact amounts of individual grants was not disclosed in a statement distributed on PRNewswire.
Other Lehigh Valley organizations receiving grants: the Chamber Music Society of Bethlehem, Community Music School Lehigh Valley, and the Allentown Band.
The foundation was founded by the late Theodore Presser, founder of the music-publishing company named after him. Most of the foundation’s grants are given within a 75-mile radius of center city Philadelphia.
