PPL Corp. has received its third-straight 100 percent score on an index of corporate equality.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index measures corporate policies on workplace equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. The Allentown, Pennsylvania-based utility was designated as a 2019 Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality by the foundation.
“PPL has an enduring commitment to support the LGBT community in our workplace and communities,” said PPL Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Spence said in a statement. “I am personally committed to fostering a culture that is appreciative and respectful of all people – no matter whom you love, what religion you practice or your ethnic background.”
PPL has about 12,000 employees and serves about 10 million customers in the U.S. and U.K.
