Air Products and Chemicals Inc., a global maker of industrial gases, said it earned a score of 100 percent on the Corporate Equality Index.
The CEI measures corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality. It is administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, Air Products said in a statement distributed on PRNewswire.
“We are pleased to have again achieved a perfect score from CEI, and we know there is always more to do,” said Seifi Ghasemi, chairman, president and chief executive of Air Products. Ghasemi said the company has recently focused on eliminating unconscious bias in hiring and employee development.
Allentown, Pennsylvania-based Air Products had fiscal 2018 sales of $8.9 billion. It operates in 50 countries and has a market capitalization of about $40 billion and about 16,000 employees.
