Upper Saucon Township will consider an ordinance that would limit noise from overnight pick-ups of trash and recyclable material.
The proposed law would bar pick-ups from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. in residential areas of the Lehigh County, Pennsylvania township, with waivers available in some cases, according to a legal advertisement in the Allentown Morning Call.
The Upper Saucon Board of Supervisors will consider the ordinance at its 6:30 p.m., May 13 meeting at the township municipal building, 5500 Camp Meeting Road.
In considering time limits on trash pick-up, the township joins other Lehigh Valley communities that have responded to residents’ complaints about noise from overnight hauling.
